Blog

Updates
I have done some updates on Matt's Apps.  I have modified the blog page, so date, permalink, and comments are all in one line.  I have also gotten rid of those terrible arrows in favor of rectangles.
  • Much better then those arrows.
Also, I am in the final phases of creating a new application.  Hopefully I can release it within a few weeks.  It's an iPhone app, and kinda a game!

Gawker Detection
I know everybody hates Gizmodo, and all the other Gawker Media sites (actually LifeHacker isn't that bad), so I created a super simple Safari extension that detects and warns you when you are about to enter a Gawker owned site.

You can find it here: http://github.com/computermatt/Gawker-Detection

StackTop
I have recently released StackTop 3.0, StackTop is now out of beta!!!

Just a few quick things about StackTop:
  • It includes support for Stack Overflow, Meta Stack Overflow, Super User, Server Fault, and Stack Apps.
  • It's built off of MSOEngine
  • As the Stack Exchange API version changes, StackTop automatically changes with it.

On an unrelated note, now that I have a blog that's fully integrated with Matt's Apps, I hope to be posting more things, so what would you guys like to see?  If you have any tips, please email me at matt (at) mattsapps (dot) com.

Welcome to the new Matt's Apps!!!

Welcome to the new and improved Matt's Apps site!

I have completely rebuilt this site from the ground up using Pixie, a fantastic CMS you can find here.  I highly recommend Pixie over Wordpress (I'll do a blog post in the future about that).

On top of that, I have compressed Matt's Apps down to a few core apps.  StackTop, iSpeedReader, and Hello My Name Is.  If you are wondering where my other apps went, well I'll (soon) make them open source, so you can laugh at my code that I wrote about a year ago.  myBand will remain at $.99 for the time being, though, until I create another app that will fill its spot as a paid app.

If you have any questions, comments, complaints, etc. hit the contact button and you'll see all the various ways to contact me.
